Saia Launches REV Initiative Cutting 2,000+ Transit Times and Early 10 a.m. Delivery
SAIA•Saia launched its REV initiative, implementing over 2,000 transit time improvements to reduce service lanes by up to one day and automating a standard guaranteed 10 a.m. delivery—the earliest nationwide for LTL carriers. The program also introduces real-time track-and-trace visibility and expanded final-mile and 3PL logistics capabilities.
1. REV Initiative Overview
Saia rolled out its REV (Rapid, Expanded, Visible) initiative in June 2026 to enhance transit speed, operational flexibility and shipment transparency through targeted technology upgrades and network optimization across its North American footprint.
2. Transit Time Improvements
The company executed more than 2,000 transit time improvements by upgrading linehaul operations and optimizing network routes, enabling lane service reductions from five to four days, four to three days, and, in select corridors, even faster schedules.
3. Guaranteed Early Delivery and Expedited Service
Leveraging consistent transit performance, Saia automated its Guaranteed 10 a.m. delivery as a standard service—earliest among nationwide LTL carriers—and introduced a unified expedited shipping option for highly time-sensitive freight.
4. Enhanced Visibility and Logistics Capabilities
Saia launched a new track-and-trace platform offering dynamic, turn-by-turn shipment updates and predictive accessorial insights, while Saia Logistics expanded final-mile offerings including residential, white glove, room-of-choice, debris removal and two-person delivery services.
