Saia reported third-quarter revenue of $982.5 million, above the $963.08 million analyst consensus. Adjusted EPS was $3.41, compared with the $3.30 consensus, and operating income was $122.3 million.
2. Operating performance
LTL tonnage per workday reached a record, up 8.9% from a year earlier. LTL revenue per shipment excluding fuel surcharge increased 5.8%, which the company attributed to progress in pricing and mix optimization. The CFO said consistent execution and continued investment produced measurable results, including market share gains.
3. Capital plans
Saia authorized a $250 million share buyback. It expects 2026 net capital expenditures of about $350 million, subject to market conditions.
