Samsara Debuts Paper-Thin Bluetooth Label and No-Code AI Tool to Curb $35B Cargo Theft
IOT•Samsara launched a single-use, adhesive Bluetooth Tracking Label with 45-day battery life and hazard-free materials to address the $35 billion annual U.S. cargo theft market. It also introduced Agent Studio, a no-code AI workflow builder enabling operations teams to deploy shipment and equipment monitoring workflows without IT support.
1. Product Launch and Theft Reduction Challenge
At its Beyond 2026 conference in Las Vegas, Samsara announced the Tracking Label, an adhesive, paper-thin Bluetooth tag designed to fill visibility gaps in shipment monitoring. The move targets the $35 billion annual cargo theft problem, which has risen 60% year-over-year, by providing near-real-time location data between carrier scans.
2. Tracking Label Specifications and Network Integration
The single-use Tracking Label features a 45-day battery life, contains no lithium or hazardous materials, and arrives pre-cleared for air, ground and rail transport. It leverages the existing Samsara Network—spanning millions of devices covering 99% of major U.S. roads—to detect label positions continuously without requiring carrier involvement.
3. Agent Studio No-Code AI Workflow Tool
Samsara also introduced Agent Studio, a no-code AI tool that allows operations teams to build and deploy custom workflow automations without IT support. This platform aims to streamline tedious tasks across asset monitoring, shipment tracking and equipment management by integrating AI-driven alerts and processes directly within the Samsara ecosystem.
