1. Samsara Doubles Down on Canadian Market with Local Data Residency and Fulfillment
Samsara has unveiled a comprehensive expansion of its Canadian operations, embedding a dedicated AWS Canada data centre to meet stringent federal and provincial data-residency requirements. This infrastructure launch enables public sector bodies, Crown corporations and highly regulated industries to process and store sensitive telemetry data on Canadian soil. In tandem, a new domestic fulfillment partnership with Ottawa Logistics delivers same-day hardware shipping and eliminates import fees, reducing lead times by up to 70%. Complementing these moves, a collaboration with Element Fleet Management now provides a unified asset-lifecycle solution, combining Element’s 120,000-vehicle fleet expertise with Samsara’s real-time analytics. As part of its remote-connectivity suite, Samsara has also integrated satellite links to ensure continuous visibility for fleets operating beyond cellular coverage in Northern territories. Collectively, these initiatives aim to capture more than 15% of Samsara’s net new international contract value, reflecting robust momentum among Canadian enterprises modernizing operations across transportation, utilities and public services.
