1. Qnity Partnership Expands Materials Research

Qnity Electronics has initiated a strategic collaboration with NVIDIA to integrate its AI-driven simulation tools into Qnity’s semiconductor materials research. The pact coincides with Qnity’s $61.5 million outlay on a new Taiwan research facility, scheduled to begin operations in early 2027 to advance next-generation AI chip development.

2. Samsung Commits 110 Trillion Won to AI Chip Capacity

Samsung Electronics will invest 110 trillion won ($73.3 billion) in 2026 to expand AI chip production and R&D, a 22% increase over last year. Funding is earmarked for high-bandwidth memory and advanced foundry processes, ensuring a stronger HBM4E supply chain for NVIDIA’s upcoming GPU launches and deepening their hardware partnership.
