Sandisk Forecasts Mid–High 60s% Data Center NAND Growth by 2026
Sandisk projects data centers will become the largest NAND end market by 2026, raising its 2026 demand growth forecast to the mid–high 60s percent range. The company plans to maintain BiCS8 production, roll out 64–128TB QLC enterprise drives and debut High Bandwidth Flash in partnership with SK hynix.
1. Data Center Demand Outlook
Sandisk expects data centers to become the largest NAND end market by 2026, raising its calendar–year demand growth forecast to the mid–high 60s percent range. Management noted hyperscalers now provide multi-year visibility that secures volume commitments through 2028 and reshapes planning dynamics.
2. Long-Term Agreements Reshaping Supply
The company is pursuing one- to five-year long-term agreements that combine fixed and variable pricing, giving preference in availability to customers committing to multi-year supply. This portfolio approach aims to smooth margins and align production with predictable, growing demand.
3. Product Roadmap and Investments
Sandisk will continue BiCS8 as its primary node while introducing 64–128TB QLC enterprise drives under its Stargate line and collaborating with SK hynix to launch High Bandwidth Flash. It plans billions in capex and steady R&D spend, targeting mid–high teens annual bit growth without accelerating BiCS10 rollout.
