Sands China Cuts Emissions 61%, Secures ISO 14001 Renewal and Dual Dow Jones Best-in-Class Listings
LVS•Sands China cut Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions 61% from 2018 levels, recycled all playing cards and secured ISO 14001 renewal. The unit remains the sole integrated resort operator in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Asia Pacific Index for six years and the World Index for five years.
1. Dual Dow Jones Best-in-Class Listings
Sands China Ltd. was named to the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Asia Pacific Index for the sixth consecutive year and to the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index for the fifth consecutive year, making it the only integrated resort operator concurrently listed in both benchmarks. Las Vegas Sands Corp. also achieved inclusion in the World and North America indices for the seventh straight year.
2. Emissions Reduction and ISO 14001 Renewal
Under its Planet pillar, Sands China reduced Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 61% versus a 2018 baseline, secured renewal of its ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification, recycled 100% of playing cards and adopted eco-friendly water bottles and green procurement measures such as increased cage-free egg sourcing.
3. Community and Training Achievements
Through its People pillar, the Sands China Academy delivered 1.8 million training hours in 2025, bringing total hours to 22.6 million since 2004. Under Community, its volunteer programme logged over 362,000 service hours and its Community Revitalization Programme supported SMEs and district renewal on Rua das Estalagens in Macao.
