1. Candidate selected
Sanofi optioned the first development candidate from its research collaboration with Recursion, adding it to its development pipeline. The potential first-in-class oral small molecule was developed using AI-enabled design and targets a pair of targets implicated in inflammatory disease.
2. Payments and next steps
The option triggered a $10 million milestone payment, bringing total upfront and milestone payments under the collaboration to $144 million. Recursion remains eligible for more than $300 million in additional program milestones and average low-double-digit royalties on net sales if the drug is successfully commercialized.
