Sarepta appoints new chief executive

Sarepta appointed Michael Severino as CEO, effective July 28, 2026.
Severino was previously CEO of Tessera Therapeutics.
He earlier served as vice chairman and president at AbbVie, leading R&D and corporate strategy.
Severino will join the board; Doug Ingram will retire and remain an adviser through the end of 2026.
