Sasol-backed Ampli Energy supplies renewable power covering over 25% of Kruger National Park demand
SSL•Ampli Energy signed a renewable power sponsorship with SANParks, supplying more than 25% of Kruger National Park’s annual electricity consumption to help cut electricity-related emissions.
1. Renewable power supply
Sasol-backed Ampli Energy signed a renewable power sponsorship with SANParks to support Kruger National Park’s decarbonization plan in its centenary year. Kruger accounts for about 70% of SANParks’ scope 2 emissions and is the group’s largest electricity user.
2. Supply arrangements
Ampli uses Sasol’s Secunda complex as the backstop offtaker for its renewable portfolio. Renewable supply has already been delivered for several months under a month-to-month product run with Discovery Green.
