Schneider recorded 1Q26 adjusted EPS of $0.12, exceeding the consensus by $0.02, while operating income declined by 20% year-over-year. Consolidated revenue held steady at $1.4 billion compared with 1Q25.

2. Truckload Division Performance

Truckload revenue excluding fuel surcharges climbed 1% to $618 million, driven by a 7.3% productivity gain in one-way truck utilization and a 3% increase in revenue per truck per week. The adjusted operating ratio in this unit worsened by 80 basis points to 96.7%.

3. Intermodal and Logistics Segments

Intermodal revenue fell 3% to $254 million as a slight increase in load count was offset by a 4% drop in revenue per load, lifting its operating ratio to 95.7%. Logistics revenue declined 6% to $312 million, and despite higher revenue per load, its operating ratio worsened by 30 basis points to 97.9%.

4. Full-Year Guidance and Outlook

Management reiterated its 2026 adjusted EPS outlook of $0.70 to $1.00, citing growing macroeconomic uncertainty and potential demand variability despite signs of supply tightening in the truckload market.
