SciSparc subsidiary NeuroThera Labs launched a U.S. Phase IIb trial site at Yale for SCI-110 in adult Tourette syndrome.
SCI-110 combines dronabinol with palmitoylethanolamide in a single oral dose, targeting tic reduction with fewer side effects.
The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled cross-over study tests efficacy at weeks 12 and 26 using the Yale Global Tic Severity Scale.
The trial also runs at Hannover Medical School, Germany, and Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, Israel.
Phase IIa results showed a 21% average tic reduction on the Yale Global Tic Severity Scale Total Tic Score.
