On April 30, the Province of British Columbia designated Seabridge Gold’s KSM project as a provincial priority project under its Look West strategy, granting dedicated permitting coordination and potentially accelerating regulatory approvals and development timelines.

2. Reserve and Resource Growth

The project’s proven and probable reserves contain 7.3 billion pounds of copper and 47.3 million ounces of gold, and the April 2026 updated mineral resource estimate boosted measured and indicated resources by 6.8 million ounces of gold and 1.5 billion pounds of copper.

3. Development Progress and Funding

Two decades and approximately C$1 billion of exploration and technical work has advanced KSM past the exploration stage, positioning the project for streamlined permitting processes and potential investor and government backing for the next phases of development.
