SEALSQ presents ML-KEM side-channel attack research at LightSec 2026 workshop
LAES•SEALSQ presented research on an ML-KEM key-generation side-channel attack and countermeasures at the LightSec 2026 workshop on Oct. 11 in Antalya.
1. Research and countermeasures
The paper described a side-channel attack on the ML-KEM key-generation encoding step using profiling methods with lattice reduction, and outlined countermeasures to harden implementations against practical leakage during key generation. The work supports SEALSQ’s QS7001 post-quantum secure-element positioning as the company pursues Common Criteria EAL5+ certification.
