SeaStar Medical Q2 revenue jumps 82% on QUELIMMUNE demand

SeaStar Medical said it sees continued QUELIMMUNE revenue growth and potential in the larger adult AKI market.

The company said its second-quarter net loss widened year over year, with higher research and development and administrative expenses.

SeaStar Medical said higher R&D expenses were primarily driven by increased clinical trial expenses and personnel costs.

SeaStar Medical said second-quarter net revenue rose 82% year over year on increased demand for QUELIMMUNE.

The US organ failure therapy firm said the revenue growth was driven by the addition of three top-rated children's hospitals and increased customer orders.

SeaStar Medical said it advanced enrollment in its adult acute kidney injury, or AKI, trial and expects to complete NEUTRALIZE-AKI enrollment around year end or into Q1 2027.

The company also said it obtained new ICD-10-PCS codes for sickle cell disease, or SCD, therapies, including QUELIMMUNE. It said the new codes take effect October 1, 2026.
