Eleventh Circuit upholds dismissal of fraud suit

The Eleventh Circuit unanimously upheld the dismissal with prejudice of a fraud suit seeking about $1.9 million against Sports Entertainment Gaming Global.

The ruling permanently bars plaintiffs from re-filing the claims against the company or its former CEO.

The appeals court agreed the complaint failed to meet pleading standards, affirming a Southern District of Florida decision.

Plaintiffs have 21 days from the opinion’s filing to seek rehearing or rehearing en banc.
