On January 15, 2026, SEI Investments Company announced the appointment of Paul Lehman, CFA, to lead its Bank Asset Management Distribution business. Reporting to Michael Lane, Head of SEI’s Asset Management division, Lehman will oversee investment sales and partnership development across national, regional and community banks, affiliated wealth organizations and independent trust companies. His mandate includes expanding SEI’s market share in bank channels and enhancing distribution of the firm’s investment solutions.

SEI’s decision to bring in an experienced bank distribution executive underscores the firm’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the $20 trillion U.S. bank asset management market. As banks seek to differentiate their wealth platforms, SEI aims to leverage its technology-integrated investment products—including OCIO, Co-CIO and both public and private individual solutions—to capture additional fee-based revenue. SEI manages, advises or administers approximately $1.8 trillion in assets as of September 30, 2025, and views deeper bank relationships as a critical driver of long-term growth.

Lehman arrives with more than 30 years of experience in bank trust and wealth management. He most recently served as Head of the Bank Trust Group at Dimensional Fund Advisors, leading a national team supporting bank and trust partners. Prior roles include Chief Investment Officer and Head of Capital Management at First Citizens Bank. He began his career advising high-net-worth clients and brings strategic vision in scaling distribution teams. Lehman holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and a master’s in business psychology from Franklin University.
