1. AI-Powered Video Compression Launch
Semtech partnered with Digital Barriers to introduce Semtech Video Compression, combining EdgeVis AI-powered compression with the AirLink XR60 5G router and Smart Connectivity services. The integrated device-to-cloud solution, now available in North America and EMEA, cuts bandwidth from 4–6 Mbps to 300–500 Kbps while preserving video quality for surveillance, traffic monitoring and critical infrastructure applications.
2. 5G RedCap Industrial IoT Modem
The newly announced FX86E modem supports 5G RedCap, 4G/LTE and private networks including CBRS and Anterix B106 spectrum. Designed for plug-and-play industrial deployments, the rugged device enables OEMs and system integrators to activate cellular connectivity via Ethernet without lengthy certification, and is currently sampling ahead of its Embedded World 2026 showcase in Nuremberg.
