Sendas Distribuidora clarified a media report on its Assaí Farma rollout following a B3 request tied to a Valor Econômico story.
The initiative targets in-store pharmacies inside existing Assaí cash-and-carry units, enabled by recently sanctioned legislation.
The plan calls for 25 pharmacy openings by the end of 2026, in dedicated areas within existing stores in São Paulo state.
Sendas said the project matches the strategy outlined at its Investors’ Day 2025 and reiterated in its Feb. 11, 2026 results disclosure.
