Haleon lowered its full-year organic revenue growth forecast to around 2.5% from 3% to 5%, after third-quarter organic revenue rose 2.6%, below analysts’ 3.2% estimate. Weak cough, cold and flu demand in North America and suspended Centrum shipments in China weighed on sales.
Haleon now expects full-year organic revenue growth of around 2.5%, down from its prior forecast of 3% to 5%. Organic revenue for the three months ended September 30 rose 2.6%, missing the 3.2% estimate in a company-compiled poll.
Weaker cough, cold and flu consumption hit orders in North America, Haleon’s largest market. In China, a change in raw material classifications affected imports of over-the-counter Centrum multivitamins, forcing the company to suspend shipments.
Haleon expects a £15 million to £20 million fourth-quarter net revenue impact from accelerating a new go-to-market model in Brazil to coincide with the country’s new tax framework. Oral Health sales rose 8.8% on demand for Sensodyne and parodontax, while emerging markets grew 5.1%, led by India.
