Septerna selected SEP-204 as its development candidate for Graves' disease and thyroid eye disease. Preclinical studies in animal models showed normalized thyroid hormone levels, reduced thyroid enlargement and less eye protrusion; the company expects the drug's pharmacokinetic profile to support once-daily oral dosing in humans.
