ServiceNow says research flagged governance gaps as a key brake on Australia’s AI-driven productivity despite 115% year-on-year AI spending growth.
Only 23% of organisations have AI testing or auditing processes, while 17% track AI governance or compliance, raising accuracy and accountability risks.
Data issues dominated executive concerns:
- 72% cited data accuracy and access problems
- 62% cited misinformation risk
- 54% cited privacy or security
AI deployment remains fragmented, with 18% saying they have integrated AI across business functions and 8% saying they have moved beyond tools to autonomous workflows.
Australia’s enterprise AI maturity score rose to 51/100, while APAC “Pacesetters” delivered six times higher productivity than other organisations.
