Shake Shack’s first-quarter revenue rose to $281.5 million, up 14% year-over-year. The growth was underpinned by a 7% increase in same-store sales, a higher mix of digital orders and the opening of 12 new locations during the quarter.
2. New CFO Appointment
The company announced Jim Adams as its new chief financial officer, effective July 1. Adams joins from a rival restaurant chain where he oversaw financial planning and cost controls, and is tasked with improving margins and optimizing capital deployment.
