Aug. 24 (Reuters) - Oil major Shell SHEL.L has drawn interest from potential bidders including Exxon XOM.N and LyondellBasell LYB.N for its U.S. chemical assets, which could fetch as much as $8 billion, the Financial Times reported on Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Exxon, Lyondell, private equity firm Apollo and the chemicals arm of state-owned Kuwait Petroleum Corporation have expressed interest in the assets, the report added.
