Sidus Space enhanced its Fortis 3U OpenVPX C&DH platform with Microchip’s PolarFire FPGAs, space-grade processors and precision timing modules for scalable, radiation-tolerant operations across space, airborne, maritime and terrestrial missions. The system aligns with SOSA and MOSA standards and leverages insights from three LizzieSat missions to streamline integration.

Sidus Space advanced its Fortis Command and Data Handling platform, a modular 3U OpenVPX system designed for rapid development and long-term scalability across space, airborne, maritime and terrestrial missions.

Fortis integrates Microchip’s space-qualified PolarFire FPGAs, defense-grade processors, precision timing modules and high-reliability network components to reduce integration complexity and accelerate mission-ready deployments.
3. Standards and Flight Heritage
The platform aligns with Sensor Open System Architecture (SOSA) and Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) standards and incorporates flight-proven insights from three LizzieSat missions to optimize radiation tolerance, data throughput and multi-sensor integration.
