Sidus Space MOU to Enable In-Orbit AI Hyperspectral Imaging with Simera Sense

SIDUSIDU

Sidus Space signed an MOU with Simera Sense to integrate xScape hyperspectral cameras with its FeatherEdge hardware and Cielo AI software for onboard data processing. This collaboration aims to reduce downlink latency, enable autonomous analytics across multi-satellite constellations, and expand Sidus Space’s intelligence-driven Earth observation services.

1. MOU Overview

On February 10, 2026, Sidus Space and Simera Sense formalized a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop AI-enabled hyperspectral imaging solutions. The agreement targets next-generation Earth observation missions by combining Simera Sense’s optical payload expertise with Sidus Space’s system integration capabilities.

2. Technology Integration

The collaboration will pair Simera Sense’s xScape hyperspectral cameras with Sidus Space’s FeatherEdge hardware and Cielo AI software to process data in orbit. By shifting analytics onboard, the system is designed to prioritize critical data, detect events in real time, and optimize downlink bandwidth.

3. Strategic Implications

Embedding intelligence at the data source is intended to shorten time to insight for government and commercial customers while reducing ground-station reliance. This partnership advances Sidus Space’s strategy to move up the value chain, broaden its service offerings, and tap growing demand for rapid, actionable Earth observation intelligence.
