Silicon Metals named Ray Wladichuk, a professional geoscientist with 15+ years in mineral exploration and a graduate business diploma, as CEO. The company’s Maple Birch quartz project has a 3,000 tonne-per-year permit and its Ptarmigan Silica asset holds a five-year production permit alongside a 400-hectare Crystal Hills property.
1. CEO Appointment
Silicon Metals elevated Director Ray Wladichuk to Chief Executive Officer. Wladichuk brings over 15 years of C-suite, technical, and directorial experience in mineral exploration, engineering, and construction, holds professional geoscientist registration in BC and Ontario, a Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences, and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University.
2. Resignation of Former CEO
Morgan Good resigned as CEO and from the board, concluding his tenure marked by advancing corporate and operational initiatives. The board expressed gratitude for Good’s contributions and will evaluate potential candidates to fill the CEO role on the board.

Silicon Metals maintains a diversified Canadian silica portfolio: the Maple Birch quartz project (3,000 tpa production permit, near Sudbury, Ontario), the Crystal Hills project (100% interest, 400 hectares, north of North Bay), the five-year permitted Ptarmigan Silica project (130 km from Prince George, BC), and two exploration-stage silica assets—Silica Ridge (70 km from MacKenzie, BC) and Longworth (85 km east of Prince George, BC).
