SILO•Canada allowance for SPC-15 patent application
Silo Pharma says it received a Canadian Notice of Allowance for a patent application covering SPC-15, an intranasal 5-HT4 receptor agonist for PTSD.
The application covers prophylactic use of 5-HT4 agonists to prevent or delay stress-induced fear and depressive-like behavior.
Silo holds an exclusive license from Columbia University to develop, manufacture, and commercialize SPC-15 globally.
The company plans to pursue the FDA’s 505(b)(2) pathway for SPC-15 to shorten development timelines and cut costs.
