Silvercorp raises El Domo construction budget to $298.2 million
SVM•Silvercorp Metals raised El Domo’s construction budget to $298.2 million from $283.6 million and pushed targeted production to November 2027, a four-month delay attributed to extended Super El Nino rainfall.
1. Budget and schedule revised
Silvercorp Metals raised El Domo’s construction budget to $298.2 million from February’s $283.6 million estimate, and now targets production for November 2027, four months later because of extended rainfall caused by Super El Nino. Higher diesel costs add $8.3 million to remaining construction spending and water-management enhancements add $4.7 million; $9.8 million in reductions offset some costs, including a $2.7 million contingency reduction that is not a direct saving. Delays in powerline approval could extend generator use and potentially increase operating costs.
