Sionna Therapeutics posted a Q2 net loss of $29.9 million, widening from $18.1 million a year earlier.
- R&D expense climbed to $21.9 million from $15.4 million, driven by pipeline development spending and higher personnel costs.
- G&A costs rose to $10.6 million from $6.5 million, mainly on higher personnel-related expenses including stock-based compensation.
Cash position and clinical timeline
Cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities totaled $268.3 million at June 30, with funding expected to last into 2028.
The PreciSION CF Phase 2a trial of SION-719 and a Phase 1 dual-combination study of SION-451 both remain on track for topline data in summer 2026.
