Sionna Therapeutics plans Phase 2a AscenSION CF trial of SION-451 plus SION-2222
SION•Sionna Therapeutics plans an open-label, 28-day Phase 2a trial of SION-451 plus SION-2222 in adults with F508del cystic fibrosis, expected to start in the first quarter of 2027.
1. Planned trial
The AscenSION CF proof-of-concept study will focus on sweat chloride, safety and pharmacokinetics. Sionna also flagged new clinical and preclinical cystic fibrosis data for presentation at the 2026 North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference; preclinical results pointed to potential for the drug combinations across additional genotype groups.
