The attraction debuts six record-breaking elements—including a 285-foot beyond-vertical drop and 179-foot loop—and is expected to boost attendance and revenue during the 65th anniversary season.
1. Tormenta: Rampaging Run Launch
Six Flags Over Texas today unveiled Tormenta: Rampaging Run, a giga dive coaster standing 309 feet tall with a 285-foot beyond-vertical drop, an 87 mph top speed and a 179-foot vertical loop stretching across 4,199 feet of track. The new attraction is set within the immersive Rancho de la Tormenta plaza, complete with Spanish village theming and six record-breaking elements.

Park management anticipates that Tormenta will drive incremental attendance, season-pass upgrades and on-site spending during the company’s 65th anniversary celebrations.
