SK hynix and Nvidia Ink Multi-Year AI Memory Partnership for Vera Rubin Supercomputers
SKM•Nvidia and SK hynix signed multi-year agreements to co-develop advanced memory for Nvidia's AI 'factories', supporting platforms such as Vera Rubin supercomputers, Vera CPUs and RTX Spark-powered PCs. SK hynix will deploy NVIDIA CUDA-X libraries, PhysicsNeMo, Omniverse and cuOpt to accelerate semiconductor design workflows and digital twin factory automation.
1. Partnership Overview
Nvidia and SK hynix have formalized multi-year agreements to develop and secure critical memory technologies that feed Nvidia’s AI infrastructure roadmap. The deal builds on existing engineering collaborations and targets support for key platforms, including Vera Rubin AI supercomputers, Vera CPUs and RTX Spark-powered PCs.
2. Advanced Memory Development
Under the partnership, SK hynix will co-develop next-generation memory products tailored for AI workloads, enabling it to enter AI infrastructure, personal AI and physical AI markets. The agreement addresses long development cycles and capital investment needs associated with scaling advanced fabrication processes.
3. AI Factory Technology
SK hynix will use NVIDIA CUDA-X libraries, PhysicsNeMo, Omniverse, OpenUSD scene optimization and cuOpt to accelerate chip design, manufacturing simulations and digital twin factory operations. These technologies aim to drive efficiency and support the rollout of autonomous AI “factories” around the globe.
