Sky Quarry Seals Three-Year MOU for Sustainable Aviation and Specialty Fuels

SKYQSKYQ

Sky Quarry signed a three-year MOU with Southern Energy Renewables and DevvStream to deploy sustainable aviation and specialty fuel pilots at PR Spring and Foreland Refinery. The agreement secures advanced FEED, pilot validation and carbon attribute expertise to accelerate commercialization and reduce carbon intensity across its hydrocarbon operations.

1. Three-Year MOU with Southern and DevvStream

Sky Quarry has executed a three-year non-binding memorandum of understanding with Southern Energy Renewables and DevvStream to collaborate on modular sustainable aviation fuel, specialty fuel and recycled hydrocarbon initiatives, integrating low-carbon technologies and environmental market strategies.

2. PR Spring Fuel Pilot Initiatives

Under the MOU, Sky Quarry will initiate pilot-scale validation of sustainable aviation fuel, specialty fuel and recycled hydrocarbon blends at its PR Spring asset, leveraging Southern’s modular plant designs and DevvStream’s carbon attribute monetization expertise to shorten development timelines and improve project economics.

3. Foreland Refinery Technology Upgrade Pathways

The partnership outlines integration of synthetic and conventional feedstock blending, on-spec aviation and specialty fuel production, and advanced processing system validations at the Foreland Refinery, positioning the facility as a regional hub for next-generation low-carbon fuel production.
