Sky Quarry to Start Refining at Foreland Facility with 100,000-Barrel Storage in July
SKYQ•Sky Quarry's Foreland Refinery in Ely, Nevada, the state's sole operating refinery, is entering production phase with operations slated to begin in July. The facility holds roughly 10,000 barrels of crude on-site, offers over 100,000-barrel storage capacity and gains strategic value as Western refining capacity shrinks.
1. Refinery Production Phase Initiation
After extensive repairs and balance-sheet work, Sky Quarry is moving into the production phase at Foreland Refinery near Ely, Nevada, and expects to commence operations in July. Management has shifted focus from asset preparation to refining operations and customer deliveries.
2. On-Site Inventory and Storage Capacity
The facility has approximately 10,000 barrels of crude and in-process inventory on-site and more than 100,000 barrels of storage capacity, providing operational readiness and flexibility for handling feedstock and refined products.
3. Strategic Position in Western Market
As the only operating refinery in Nevada, Foreland occupies a critical strategic position, supplying gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel to a state that historically relied on imports and facing a regional refining capacity decline in the Western United States.
4. Transition Toward Cash Flow Generation
