Slate revealed its bare-bones EV pickup starting at $24,950, excluding taxes and destination charges, making it the cheapest truck in America versus Ford Maverick’s $27,145 base model. Over 180,000 reservation holders have signed up, with deliveries slated for later this year.
2. Updated Battery and Performance Specs
The model now runs on a single 65 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, boosting estimated range to 205 miles – a 37% jump over the original 150-mile figure. The rear-wheel-drive setup produces 181 hp, achieves 0–60 mph in eight seconds, tops out at 90 mph, tows up to 2,000 pounds and hauls 1,550 pounds of payload.
3. Customization Marketplace Launch
Slate’s Marketplace will offer over 175 accessories at launch, including roof racks, stereos and seat covers, with more than 80 items under $500. Buyers can choose from over 100 standard wrap colors or any custom shade, with full-vehicle wraps professionally applied in hours for under $500.
