SLB partners with Harbour Energy consortium on Havstjerne carbon storage FEED in Norwegian North Sea

SLB was picked as strategic reservoir partner for Havstjerne, an offshore carbon storage project in Norway’s North Sea.

The work covers concept studies, FEED, reservoir maturation, injection well design, and subsea injection system engineering via its OneSubsea venture.

The scope aims to set the technical, cost and schedule basis ahead of a final investment decision for storage serving European industrial emitters.

An appraisal well drilled in 2025 confirmed reservoir quality suitable for CO2 injection, and the project won EUR 225 million from the EU Innovation Fund.
