Solaris Bus & Coach chose Ballard’s FCmove-SC hydrogen fuel cell engine for its Generation 2 FCEV bus and extended its long-term service agreement through 2029. The FCmove-SC, launched late 2025, offers higher efficiency, extended durability and simplified architecture to cut total cost of ownership for long-range, high-utilization transit fleets.

1. Solaris Chooses FCmove-SC Engine

Solaris Bus & Coach has formally selected Ballard’s FCmove-SC hydrogen fuel cell engine to power its Generation 2 FCEV bus platform, marking the first commercial integration of Ballard’s newest high-efficiency engine launched in late 2025.

2. Service Agreement Extended Through 2029

Under the updated long-term service agreement, Ballard will supply FCmove-SC engines and related services through 2029, aligning delivery schedules with Solaris’s next-generation bus rollouts and securing strategic commercial terms for both parties.
