Solstice Advanced Materials plans $49 million Buffalo R&D expansion
SOLS•Solstice Advanced Materials plans to invest $49 million in its Buffalo R&D facility, targeting work on refrigerants, thermal management, toxicology testing and energy storage materials. The project includes 12 new full-time roles by June 2027 and up to $1.4 million in performance-based tax credits.
1. Buffalo facility expansion
The planned upgrade will expand R&D capabilities at Solstice Advanced Materials’ Buffalo, New York, facility, with the stated aim of speeding development and commercialization in high-growth markets. Empire State Development will provide up to $1.4 million in performance-based tax credits through New York’s Excelsior Jobs Program.
