Applied Digital, Soluna agree to joint venture for 50 MW AI data center in Texas
APLD•Applied Digital and Soluna agreed to develop a 50 MW AI data center in Texas, with Applied owning 51% of the planned venture and Soluna 49%. Closing is expected by year-end 2026, subject to conditions including a tax abatement and definitive agreements.
1. Joint venture plans
Applied Digital entered a definitive agreement with Soluna to develop the data center at Dorothy 3 in Texas. Soluna would contribute land and power-related assets, while Applied Digital would provide development capital. The facility would draw power from Briscoe Wind Farm and the grid, and ChronoScale signed a nonbinding letter of intent to lease it.
2. Closing conditions
Closing is expected by year-end 2026, subject to conditions including a Briscoe County tax abatement and definitive agreements.
