Southern Co. Gas settlement approved; Nicor Gas rates to rise $82 million

The Illinois Commerce Commission approved a stipulation and settlement for Nicor Gas on Oct. 15, 2026. Annual base rate revenues will increase by $82 million effective Nov. 16, 2026, and Nicor Gas will file a motion to dismiss an appeal of its Nov. 19, 2025, base rate case decision.
