Southern Copper FY26 Q2 net income climbs 71.6% to $1.67 billion

- Southern Copper posted 2Q 2026 net income attributable to shareholders of USD 1.67 billion, up 71.6%, with EPS of USD 2.01.
- Net sales climbed 40.6% to USD 4.29 billion, driven by higher copper, molybdenum, silver, and zinc prices despite lower sales volumes.
- Operating income rose 65.3% to USD 2.62 billion as operating costs and expenses increased 13.8% to USD 1.67 billion.
- Copper mine production fell 3.5% to 509 million pounds, mainly on lower output at Toquepala and Cuajone due to lower ore grades.
- For 2026, copper output is expected at 917,000 tonnes; the board set a quarterly dividend of USD 1.10 cash plus 0.0120 shares.
