DBA•Soybean futures rose 3 to 6 cents per bushel ahead of the USDA's monthly reports, while corn was steady and wheat fell 1 to 2 cents.
1. Grain futures trade
Soybean futures rose 3 to 6 cents per bushel as traders adjusted positions ahead of the USDA's monthly supply-and-demand reports. Gains were capped by active U.S. Midwest harvesting and anecdotal reports of strong yields. Corn was steady, while wheat fell 1 to 2 cents.
2. Report expectations
Analysts surveyed ahead of the reports expected the USDA to leave its 2026 soybean yield estimate unchanged at 52.8 bushels per acre, lower its 2026 corn yield estimate to 177.7 bushels per acre from 178.5, and raise its 2026/27 wheat ending-stocks forecast to 721 million bushels from 717 million. They also expected higher U.S. end-of-season corn stocks.
