Case-Shiller index shows modest annual gain in June
S&P Global reported the Case-Shiller U.S. National Home Price Index rose 1.5% year-on-year in June 2026, up from 1.2%.
Monthly gains slowed: the national index rose 0.4% non-seasonally adjusted, or 0.1% seasonally adjusted.
Real-term declines continue as inflation stays above price growth
Home values fell for a 13th month in real terms as 3.5% inflation ran about 2 points above nominal price growth.
High financing costs persisted, with 30-year mortgage rates near 6.5% in June.
