S&P Global added over 4 million structured fixed-income securities and 20,000 private markets documents to Capital IQ Pro while integrating ProntoNLP sentiment analysis. The firm also acquired Drift AI to embed natural-language financial modeling into its Excel plugin and boost AI-powered analysis across biopharma and private markets.

Capital IQ Pro now features more than 4 million structured securities from Markit, adding enhanced pricing, analytics and liquidity data, plus granular collateral and advisor details. The platform also integrates Visible Alpha biopharma analytics and adds 20,000 Investment Committee meeting packs, tender documents and LP filings for deeper private markets insights.
2. AI Integration with ProntoNLP
Document Intelligence within Capital IQ Pro incorporates ProntoNLP sentiment analysis to surface key themes and tone from earnings call transcripts, LP filings and committee documents. These AI-driven insights accelerate research workflows and improve risk management by highlighting sentiment trends and material developments in textual data.
3. Drift AI Acquisition and Integration Plans
S&P Global’s acquisition of Drift AI brings natural-language financial modeling to the Capital IQ Pro Excel plugin, enabling users to build and query models, validate assumptions and enrich spreadsheets with contextual insights. Integration of Drift AI capabilities is planned in upcoming platform updates to streamline forecasting and analysis.
