Space Innovators ETF Assets Hit $2.6B as SpaceX IPO Nears
NASA•The Tema Space Innovators ETF (NASA) has surged to $2.6 billion in assets since its March 30 launch, driven by investor demand for SpaceX exposure ahead of its IPO. NASA’s SpaceX weighting fell from 10% to under 7% as inflows outpaced additions of the private stock.
1. ETF Inflow Surge
Since its March 30 debut, the Tema Space Innovators ETF (NASA) has attracted $2.6 billion in assets, up from zero at launch. Heavy subscriptions reflect intense demand for any indirect stake in SpaceX as investors seek pre-IPO gains.
2. Dilution of SpaceX Weighting
Rising net inflows have diluted NASA’s allocation to SpaceX, which slipped from 10% of its portfolio at end-March to just under 7%. New cash additions outpaced the fund’s private positions, reducing the relative stake in Elon Musk’s company.
3. IPO Impact and Diversification
SpaceX is set to price at $135, valuing it near $1.75 trillion, but NASA ETF’s diversified roster of dozens of names limits single-stock volatility. This structure may mute any immediate IPO pop while still offering long-term exposure to the space sector.
