SpaceX shares jumped about 50% from its $150 opening to a $225.64 intraday high on Tuesday, boosting its market valuation by nearly $1 trillion to approximately $2.97 trillion within days of its public debut.

At the moment SpaceX hit its peak, Microsoft’s market cap stood at roughly $2.93 trillion, temporarily relegating it behind SpaceX and placing it fifth among US public companies.
