Alphabet discloses large stake in SpaceX
** Google parent Alphabet GOOGL.O disclosed in an SEC filing it holds SPCX shares worth $94.1 bln; that equates to about 6% stake, based on SPCX's current market cap of roughly $1.52 trln
** GOOGL's marketable equity securities include $80 bln in SPCX shares subject to short-term restrictions on the ability to sell and $14.1 bln of shares subject to long-term restrictions through Q3 2027, according to the filing
Google's earlier investment and broader market pressure
** In Jan 2015, co, which was then Google, partnered with Fidelity by investing $900 mln in Elon Musk's private space venture
** Meanwhile, GOOGL shares falling 6% on the session after its cash burn jolts investors as AI spending climbs, and stock of Musk's other firm, EV maker Tesla TSLA.O, skidding 13% after reporting negative free cash flow for first time in more than two years
