Spark Wholesale selected Ciena’s WaveLogic 6 Extreme coherent optics to launch a Data Centre Interconnect service across Auckland.

Service supports private, uncontended connectivity between regional data centres, delivering 10G, 100G, 400G services with 800G planned.
Deployment uses the Waveserver platform, supported by Navigator Network Control Suite for network visibility, automation, and troubleshooting.
Initial coverage spans Silverdale to Papakura; Spark Wholesale DCI is available now.
