Mt Holland lithium project expansion approved
SQM, with partner Wesfarmers, took final investment decision to expand the Mt Holland lithium project in Australia.
The project targets a doubling of spodumene concentrate capacity to 760,000 tons a year from about 380,000 tons.
The expansion adds a second concentrator plant, mine expansion, and an ore-sorting facility; product grade is 5.5% Li2O on a 100% basis.
